**Brief description**

This course is an elective course. It will be useful for anyone involved in Excel intensive use.

**Learning outcomes**

  * Being able to use Excel and VBA to create scientific-based utilities

**Course content**

  - Excel: basic elements (graphics, formulas, solver).
  - VBA programing: Visual Basic editor, manipulating tables and cells, creating formulas
  - Add-Ins: using complementary external macros
  - Modeling: the structure of model; explicit, implicit and stochastic models
  - Interfacing: creation of userforms and menu bars
